NirvanaSoft Inc. was founded in 1997 to provide
integrated software and consulting solutions for complex
commercial and industrial (C&I) requirements to
energy marketers and aggregators including: unregulated
subsidiaries of the current utility companies and new
entrants into the energy market, such as wholesalers
and major oil companies.
NirvanaSoft systems are installed at Con Ed Solutions
(subsidiary of Con Edison of New York), and AES/New
Energy for use within PJM and New York ISO markets.
Within the New York metro area, over 85% of all de-regulated
commercial and industrial load is processed through
NirvanaSoft systems positioning the company as a dominant
player in the retail energy industry.
OFFERING
Currently, the following transaction management
platform is installed and in production.
1. Analysis of a customer profile in terms of historical
usage and load profiles to structure the pricing and
terms of an energy contract.
2. Data interchange following EDI standards to enroll
a customer, and receive the requisite information
from the Local Distribution Company.
3. Forecasting energy requirements for servicing
the customers, and procuring and scheduling the commodity
for delivery to the appropriate interchange (or Independent
System Operator) and settlement.
4. Complex Billing and Customer Service for commercial,
industrial, wholesale trading (bulk purchases, options,
swaps etc.) and energy services. The functions offered
include rating of usage based on many determinants,
Accounts Receivable management, Accounts Payable for
settlements and financial reporting.
5. Settlements and reconciliation of day-ahead, hour-ahead
and real-time energy bills from the ISO.
6. Providing all of the above functionality for multiple
commodities and services (such as electricity, natural
gas and energy services), in territories serviced
by multiple Local Distribution Companies and multiple
ISO’s.
Nirvanasoft suite of software is built on Microsoft
.NET platform, and operates over the Internet. The software
can be licensed to run on the customer’s installation.
Alternatively, Nirvanasoft Inc. also offers an Application
Service Provider (ASP) model where the license fees
are based on transaction volumes and throughput. |
