iMedeon was founded by Joe Mediate with a
mission to improve corporate profitability through mobile
service solutions that bridged the gap between back
office environments and the field. Its first products
were developed to fit the needs of specific customers
representative of selected industries.
As a smaller company seeking business from larger firms,
iMedeon quickly developed strategic relationships with
market leaders such as Indus International to leverage
customers like Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority
(MARTA), Miami/Dade Water & Sewer, Nextel, Phelps
Dodge Mining, Powertel, PrimeCo and Wisconsin Public
Service.
For the first five years, the company was committed
to funding itself, but as its customer base grew, it
made sense to seek external funding to support further
growth. In 1998, iMedeon accepted New York-based InSight
Capital Partners as its venture capital partner.
With investment funding in place, Mediate began to
assemble a team of executive recruits with leadership
experience from companies like MSA/DBS, SAP America,
Oracle Corporation, Logility, Indus International, PricewaterhouseCoopers,
Ernst & Young and Andersen Consulting.
The company recently released a new web-based work
execution system, iM:Work and changed the company name
to iMedeon to reflect its commitment to empowering field
workers of leading companies with up-to-the-minute information.
OFFERING
iMedeon develops, markets, implements and supports iM:Work,
a web-based workforce management solution for businesses
with large, remote and mobile workforces. Our products,
which are based on leading web and wireless technologies,
are used by a wide variety of companies with substantial
mobile workforces, in industries such as telecommunications,
utilities, and technology field service. Our products
optimize scheduling, routing and facilitate the dispatching
and management of mobile workforces. In addition, our
customers can perform business analysis to measure and
track key indicators that enable them to continuously

mobile field service resources. By uniting the power
of wireless communications and the Internet, iMedeon
is revolutionizing the way people source services, and
companies interact with their customers. The application
suite fully integrates a company's mobile resources
for improved customer service, allowing organizations
to more effectively plan, communicate, manage, execute
and analyze any type of fieldwork.
iM:Work is comprised of three main modules:
iM:Portal a set of application portals
that facilitates the bi-directional communication
between front and back office operational systems
and iM:Work. These systems include the Worldwide Web
(WWW) and Enterprise data sources.
iM:Workcenter the hub of the iM:Work
series from which work-dispatching, crew administration,
work order generation and reporting functions originate.
iM:Workcenter creates synergy among the many work
cycle functions to empower your people with everything
they need to better match resources with work requirements
for better resource allocation and work optimization.
iM:Workcenter is comprised of iM:Dispatch, iM:Optimizer
and iM:Analyzer.
iM:Workforce comprised of two components,
iM:Field and iM:Collect, each of which effectively
addresses key challenges of your mobile work force.
