PROFILE
Headstrong was founded in 1981 as James Martin Associates
by Dr. James Martin, who today serves as Chairman Emeritus.
We later became James Martin & Company and today,
we are Headstrong. For decades, we've been highly regarded
as a leader in process management tools and methods,
and today, we make those processes available to members
of our wholly owned subsidiary, gantthead.com.
Our company has continued to follow Dr. Martin's example
of innovation and business leadership. In 1982, we published
the first methodology to translate business needs into
system solutions – Information Engineering Methodology
(IEM). Other innovations include the integration of
rules and Object Oriented methods, the first hypertext
methodology, and the value stream approach. Our corporate
timeline gives the full picture of our evolution from
the early days of product development to our present
day focus on integration and trusted advisor.
