EDAMS Technology provides consulting services in
combination with integrated management systems and outsourcing
services to the Utilities industry. Our products and
services involve not only the implementation of integrated
information systems, but if required the reengineering
of business processes and engineering practices in order
to ensure a sustained improvement in the operational
efficiency at the Utility. This unique approach is guaranteed
not only to increase revenues at most Utilities, but
also to contribute towards dramatic reductions in operating
expenses and optimised capital deployment.
The company's range of management systems interacts
and integrates with SCADA and telemetry systems for
the monitoring and control of the operational behaviour
of supply networks Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP)
systems for enterprise business processes such as accounting
and human resources and GIS for asset management, spatial
referencing, map production and network analysis applications.

Consulting Services: EDAMS Technology
and its Alliances and Partners provide professional
consulting and IT services that range from system implementation,
billing data validation and network data analysis and
field validation, to the reduction and control of non-revenue
(unaccounted for) water. Consultancy services can be
provided at a fixed fee or on a risk-sharing performance
basis.
Integrated Management Systems: The
EDAMS range of management systems seamlessly integrates
the commercial, technical and planning functions of
the Utility – on both transaction and data model
levels – in order to provide the modern Utility
with a coherent enterprise system solution:
- EDAMS Billing & Customer Information –
billing, customer services, meter & connection
management system.
- EDAMS Operations & Maintenance – maintenance
and work order management of the supply network.
- EDAMS Network Asset Management – interfaced
to GIS with asset valuations and risk & life cycle
assessments.
- EDAMS Demand Management – master planning,
demand forecasting and non-revenue water management.
- EDAMS Network Analysis – extended simulation,
steady state and water quality analysis.
The products' multi-tiered and scalable system design
enables them to be implemented on standalone PCs or
as enterprise-wide distributed systems based on Oracle
or SQL Server. Systems are implemented using product-specific
implementation methodologies that address issues such
as business process reengineering, change management,
data migration and management/user training.
Outsourcing Services
EDAMS Technology will, for a monthly fee, supply, implement,
operate, support and maintain the Utility’s information
systems – a unique, industry-specific service
that will result in guaranteed service levels, minimum
capital outlay, and no need for yearly upgrade or maintenance
costs:
- Commercial management, including billing, customer
information, connection management and data migration.
- Technical management systems, including GIS, network
asset management, work order & maintenance management,
conservation planning and non-revenue water management.
