aging 15 year old system.
Noteworthy to the implementation:

- On Budget
- 14 Months duration
- 175,000 Fee based accounts
- 15 Years of Detailed account history converted and migrated
- Significant consolidation account structures
- Multiple interfaces including to the State of Texas Finance
systems – USAS
As noted by John Racanelli, Revenue Manager for the TCEQ, “Prophecy
Americas was chosen
through a competitive award process for the value offered and configurable
nature of the basis2
product. TCEQ has over 100 different revenue streams and multiple,
complex interfaces to
internal and external applications for billing, collections, and
state-wide accounting and banking.
Prophecy was chosen to provide a turn-key solution. Prophecy coordinated
with TCEQ to
analyze requirements, modify and configure basis2, test the application,
migrate legacy data, and
deploy to production within 14 months. A few of the highlighted
benefits to TCEQ include the
simplicity and utility of the navigable centralized call center,
efficiencies gained from compatibility
with desktop software applications, and the easily configurable
inputs for many processes”.
“We’re very pleased with the continued success of the
basis2 implementations” said Peter
Barzen, EVP Prophecy International. “The TCEQ does not fit
a defined industry model yet
basis2’s configurable architecture enabled us to meet their
application and implementation
objectives. basis2 is proving to be an attractive alternative for
unique billing requirements”. Most
recently Prophecy International was awarded one of the largest CIS
application contracts in the
world by the HCWW of Egypt for their water and waste water billing
and customer care needs.
