Egypt selects basis2 for
Water Billing and Customer Care
DENVER, CO. September 2, 2009 – The Holding
Company for Water and Wastewater (HCWW) of Egypt has awarded a contract
to meet their comprehensive customer care and billing requirements
to Giza Systems and Prophecy International. The initial phase is
already underway for just over 2.5 million accounts, with the overall
goal of bringing over 10 million accounts on line over time. "This
is one of the most significant billing projects to be implemented
around the world,” said Dr. Abdelkawi, the Chairman for the
HCWW. “Our selection process was very thorough and a detailed
competitive review of local and global billing solutions was performed.
Prophecy International’s basis2 was chosen for its Oracle
end-to-end technical and applications architecture, its functional
comprehensiveness and its flexibility to meet the variety of requirements
we have across our 25 companies now and in the future. We are very
