Water selects basis2
March 18, 2008 – South East Water has selected
the basis2 CIS (Customer Information System) for the billing of
its expanded market of 850,000 water customers. basis2 was selected
in a competitive process against local solutions.
"I'm very pleased with the selection of basis2." said
Dr. Howard Handley, Head of Customer Services. "My team performed
a detailed evaluation of billing solutions available with a process
structured to ensure we selected the CIS solution that enabled us
to provide the best possible service to our customers with the most
efficient operations. We were particularly impressed with the flexibility
of the basis2 solution to meet our needs not only today, though
also as the future may hold."
South East Water offers a 'Guaranteed Standards Scheme' which means
that customers can expect a certain level of service. Compensation
direct to the customer as well a significant fines levied against
the utility are the result if these standards are not met. A comprehensive
and highly flexible customer information system was required in
order to ensure these standards could be met.
basis2 has won the last 3 tenders for CIS in the UK which has consolidated
over the years into some 27 customer centric water companies. The
South East Water procurement was won by Prophecy in partnership
with IMASS, its UK partner.
The selection of basis2 by South East Water consolidates basis2
as an industry leader in the UK marketplace.
