LIBERTY LAKE, WA., May 18, 2007 - Itron Inc. (NASDAQ: ITRI) today announced that they will be teaming with SAP to demonstrate OpenWay™ by Itron, an entirely new, open-architecture AMI (advanced metering infrastructure) solution at the CIS Conference, May 21-24, at the Gaylord Palms Resort and Convention Center in Orlando, Florida.

SAP, a world leader in providing collaborative business solutions to companies in more than 25 industries, will host the demonstrations at their booth #601. SAP will be demonstrating an end-to-end business process to turn on and off power remotely from the SAP interaction center through the OpenWay AMI network. This demonstration leverages Itron’s open architecture.

Exhibit hours are May 21, 3 to 6 pm, May 22, 11:45 am to 5 pm and May 23, noon to 4:30 pm.
