FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Blue Heron Awarded Overall Project and Change Management for San Antonio Water System ERSS Project

ROCHESTER, N.Y.; November 2, 2006 - Blue Heron Consulting Corp., a management consulting and technology services firm specializing in information technology system strategy and implementation, today announced its agreement with San Antonio Water System (SAWS) to provide overall Project Management and Change Management for its Enterprise Resource Software Solution (ERSS) implementation project. Blue Heron is partnering with the nation’s largest government software applications company, HANSEN of Rancho Cordova, Calif., on the project. Blue Heron’s role in the implementation will be Project Governance over the implementation of the Hansen CIS, Permitting, and Asset Management applications (www.hansen.com), the Selectron IVR and IWR applications, the Lawson Financials, HR, and Procurement applications, the SymPro Treasury Management and Debt Management applications, and the installation of HP hardware.

"San Antonio Water System’s selection of Blue Heron to provide Project Governance for the HANSEN ERP implementation project provides further evidence of a market trend that municipalities are seeking value oriented companies for their large, complex enterprise software projects,” said Stephen Northrup, CEO of Blue Heron Consulting. “Recognizing the unique challenges of enterprise software implementation projects, it is imperative that municipalities and corporations select a project governance firm that can provide unbiased project guidance while leveraging an extensive knowledge base of lessons learned and best practices. Blue Heron is gaining market share because we consistently provide results that traditional companies cannot match in terms of quality and price."

“This is the beginning of a project that will help ensure SAWS role as a high-performance organization committed to excellent customer service,” noted SAWS CEO David Chardavoyne. “The information system we’re developing will realize important efficiencies key to the organization’s effectiveness. Now that we’ve signed the contract to move forward on this project, we’re all looking forward to digging in and doing the real work that will make significant contributions to the quality of service we provide.”

Ken Rybka, President of Blue Heron Consulting, added “Blue Heron’s methodology provides the framework for successful projects. Developed and refined from hands on experience in implementing large complex systems, our methodology focuses on success rather than ‘filling out forms.’ In conjunction with our methodology, Blue Heron employs the best of the best. In the end, it’s our people that make our projects successful.”
