Charlottetown, PE, July 10, 2006 – Cogsdale Corporation would like to welcome our newest customer, Owatonna Public Utilities, Owatonna, MN. Owatonna Public Utilities is Cogsdale’s first customer in Minnesota. Cogsdale will provide Owatonna Public Utilities with a fully integrated Customer Information System as well as a Financial Information System based on Microsoft Dynamics GP.

The system will integrate key functional areas of Owatonna’s daily operation; Customer Service Management, Financial Management, People Management, Asset Management and Work Management. Cogsdale Customer Service Management will address the utility billing, service orders, central cashiering and automated meter reading functionality while Microsoft Dynamics GP will provide general ledger with budgeting, payables, human resources, payroll and fixed asset management.

Owatonna Public Utilities is community-owned. The not-for-profit water, Internet, electric and natural gas supplier was created by local residents more than 80 years ago to provide high quality, affordable services tailored to the unique needs of the community. The utility serves 10,700 electric, 9,400 natural gas and 8,900 water customers.

While evaluating and redesigning the major business processes surrounding the customer service, billing, service initiation and financial management processes it was determined that a new Customer Information System was essential. “It was the utilities’ preference to have a fully integrated system. That is why Cogsdale CSM and Microsoft Dynamics GP was the chosen solution. It made sense, it was the best decision to enable us a sufficient return on investment”, says Mike Bruno, Director of Finance and Administration at Owatonna Public Utilities.
