Airtricity Deploys Peace
8 for Green Electricity Customers in Ireland
London, 9 June 2006 – Leading renewable energy
company Airtricity has deployed Peace Software’s PeaceTM 8
Customer Information System (CIS) for billing and managing its 45,000
commercial customers in the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland.
Airtricity has fast grown to become the largest independent electricity
retailer in Ireland. To support its continuing success Airtricity
required an advanced and scalable billing system that could automate
the customer life cycle and reduce the cost to serve.
Previously Airtricity operated an IS/Customer system which was
unable to scale to match Airtricity’s growth. The implementation
team converted Airtricity customers from the premise-centric IS/Customer
system and its various supplementary data sources to the customer-centric
Peace 8 application.
