The City of Louisville
Selects Financial and CIS Software from Innoprise Software, Inc.™
BROOMFIELD, CO, March 24, 2006 - Innoprise Software,
Inc. today announced that the City of Louisville, located in the
Denver-Boulder metropolitan area, has contracted with the enterprise
software company for deployment of the company’s financial,
tax and CIS software. The new software will replace a legacy system
that no longer meets the city’s changing business requirements.
Louisville provides city services, as well as water and sewer collection
and treatment services to over 7,200 customer accounts within the
boundaries of the city.
The city is scheduled to implement Innoprise financial software
first starting in April 2006, followed by tax and CIS applications.
Patricia Leslie, finance director for the city, explains that Louisville
was ready to replace its legacy systems that had been in place for
11 years. “It was difficult to extract information from the
system for new reporting requirements,” said Leslie. “The
reporting capability on our existing legacy system was very limited
and extremely complicated. City officials require the flexibility
to make adjustments to financial reports to make informed business
decisions. Adding a new report or modifying existing reports in
our current legacy system could take months or even years,”
she explained. The new software offers Microsoft™ Office integration
and one-touch reporting, enabling users across the city to easily
exchange data with desktop applications and extract Information
to create a wide variety if standard and ad hoc reports.
In addition, the city was looking for a solution that embraced
the Internet and offered online capability as well as the ability
for users to access the software remotely using a web-browser. The
software’s open architecture and flexibility enables changes
to be made to the setup screens and the ability to modify fields
within the application with minimal effort.
Today, the city’s population is 19,000, which is not expected
to increase to more than 23,000 over the next 10 years. According
to Leslie, the challenge was to find a system capable of meeting
both existing and future functional requirements and the ability
to easily adapt to new city policies, procedures and regulatory
requirements. After evaluating solutions from Casell, New World,
Gems and Incode, Louisville selected Innoprise Software.
