Chooses Harris’ Financial Solution to Complement its Utility
Billing System
OTTAWA, ON - October 10, 2005 -Harris Computer Systems (Harris),
a leading provider in Customer Information Systems (CIS) and financial
management solutions for utilities and local governments, announces
that it has entered into an agreement with Newmarket Hydro Ltd., Ontario.
The project is for Harris’ Cayenta Financials solution which
will complement Newmarket’s utility billing software, Harris’
NorthStar.
As part of this agreement, Harris will implement its Cayenta Financials
version 7.3 solution. The key factors in reaching contractual terms
were Harris' responsiveness to Newmarket Hydro’s needs and
requirements from a financial management system and the company’s
long term vision.
"While selecting another Harris product might look like an
easy option given that we already had one in-house, we were still
stringent in our selection process and assessed Cayenta Financials
against the criteria we established for our financials software
replacement,” stated Iain Clinton, Newmarket’s Chief
Financial Officer. “We chose Cayenta Financials because it
had the advanced functionality we were missing with our existing
system and because it was competitively priced within our budget.”
