FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Systems & Software Provides CIS Innovation for Milwaukee Water Works

COLCHESTER , VT and MILWAUKEE, WI, August 30, 2005 – Systems & Software Inc. (S&S), a leading Customer Information Systems (CIS) provider for the utility industry, is pleased to announce Milwaukee Water Work’s (MWW) successful upgrade to enQuesta.

A long-time customer of S&S, MWW provides wholesale and retail water service, to a population of 831,000 in Milwaukee and fourteen surrounding communities, and also bills Milwaukee residents for sewer, solid waste, and snow and ice removal. As a modern company with evolving business requirements, MWW was having increasing difficulty with the back end management and reporting of its 164,000 accounts. According to Carrie Lewis, Superintendent, Milwaukee Water Works, “Our billing requirements have continuously called for the addition of more complicated fees--enQuesta allows us the flexibility to manage all these fees with the proper financial integrity.”

The global reason MWW elected to upgrade to enQuesta was to provide more efficient service both internally and externally. By year’s end, MWW will be extending enQuesta to include a customer-facing Web interface as well as additional IVR (Interactive Voice Response) components. “Internally, enQuesta’s technology offers a more efficient workflow to our Customer Service Representatives and it gives us much more powerful reporting and management tools,” adds Lewis.

According to Burt Willey, President & CEO, S&S, Milwaukee Water Works is a prime example of the increasing need to offer utilities a solution with extensive configurability to meet unforeseen changes in business requirements. “With enQuesta, we provide an invaluable platform with which utilities can appreciate this level of flexibility.”
