Keeps Chattanoooga Utility EPB on the Cutting Edge
CHATTANOOGA, TN and COLCHESTER, VT, August 23, 2005
– Systems & Software Inc. (S&S), a leading Customer
Information Systems (CIS) provider for the utility industry, is
excited to announce the launch of the latest release of its enQuesta
CIS suite at Chattanooga, Tennessee-based Electric Power Board (EPB).
The upgrade adds a host of enhancements to the electric and telecom
utility’s operations on both consumer and business process
fronts.
For EPB’s 168,000 customers, enQuesta offers billing enhancements
such as checks-by-phone and the ability for customers to pay their
bills using outside payment vendors. “These features help
increase customer satisfaction simply by giving increased payment
options,” said Anita James, Project Manager, Customer Relations,
for EPB. The upgrade also allows EPB the ability to offer FixedBill™,
a service that guarantees customers the same monthly rate over a
twelve-month period with no true–up at the end of the cycle.
In addition, customers can also utilize an Interactive Voice Response
(IVR) interface to initiate work orders such as requesting a service
call.
enQuesta offers enhancements for EPB’s customer service representatives
as well. For example, the last ten customer accounts that a representative
has accessed are retained on the main inquiry screen. With a single
click, reps can easily return to previously accessed records to
resume updates—eliminating the need to search for where they
left off.
