Envision Utility Software Expands
with New Data Center
AUSTIN, TX, June 28, 2005 - Envision Utility Software
Corporation is pleased to announce the opening of its new data center
in San Marcos, Texas. The fully operational data center offers software
application hosting to current and future clients. This expansion
adds a third location to Envision’s existing offices in Santa
Fe, New Mexico and Austin, Texas.
Construction for the data center began in February of 2005 and
staff started moving in during the second week of May. “As
the market for outsourcing continues to grow,” says Robert
Burke, Envision’s data center Operations Manager, “we
saw a strategic opportunity to offer additional services outside
of our core functionality of software development, support and maintenance”.
Envision’s data center incorporates the infrastructure necessary
to host its billing application, foCIS® or other third-party
software applications. The data center is operated by professional
staff that is responsible for managing all back-office functions.
Other service offerings include bill processing, data warehousing,
report generation and call center services through a strategic alliance
with Lone Star Solutions, a division of Pedernales Electric Cooperative.
San Marcos is located between San Antonio and Austin. The new data
center is within 60 miles of Envision’s administrative offices
in Austin, TX. Envision is headquartered in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
