Conversant Ranked First
Among Emerging CIS Technology Providers
JOPLIN, MO, June 06, 2005 – UtiliPoint®
International, Inc. has ranked Conversant, Inc. and its Customer
Watch™ CIS as the best solution among emerging developers
of utility billing and customer information systems.
Conversant was named the premier up-and-comer in the UtiliPoint®
TVAM study, whose results were announced at CIS Conference 29 in
Phoenix, Arizona. The TVAM (Technology Vendor Analysis Matrix) series
is the first industry vendor ranking of its kind. Ethan Cohen, director
of Utility and Energy Technology for UtiliPoint®, says “We
developed the study to be used primarily as a research-based, pre-selection
tool for utilities. We worked more than a year to develop the methodology,
and were inspired by utilities’ need for an accurate, independent,
and unbiased benchmarking and assessment of industry vendors.”

This honor represents the first time Conversant® has been ranked
first place in the TVAM studies, but Customer Watch™ has formerly
won other technology awards. Customer Watch™ has previously
received a first place honor for the “Best Implementation
of a Distributed Application using Object Technology” in the
OMG Object Application Competition, as well as second and third
place awards at the Comdex Internet Application Competition.
