Systems & Software
to Implement CIS Solution for Martin County, Florida
COLCHESTER, VT – May 11, 2005 – Systems
& Software (S&S), one of the country’s foremost Customer
Information Systems (CIS) providers for the utility industry, is
pleased to announce that it has been selected by the Martin County,
Florida Utility and Solid Waste Department (USWD) to implement its
enQuesta CIS solution.
According to Nancy Shutts, an eighteen year veteran with the USWD
who serves as its financial administrator, bringing S&S’
enQuesta CIS application online will open doors for the utility.
“It’s a very user-friendly system,” Shutts said.
“There are a lot of drill-downs available within the records
and reporting that look to be very useable—I think my customer
service representatives will be delighted with its ease of navigation."
Martin County is scheduled to go live with enQuesta in November
2005. The CIS, which will support the county's 27,000 accounts,
will also benefit from any upgrades that S&S makes across any
of its client base. As Shutts put it, "I like that any modifications
that happen to the software are then available to everyone. Let's
say Denver Water changes something in the software to better fit
their business system—S&S then makes that improvement
available to any utility that uses the software."
On the heels of implementing the CIS for Martin County’s
water and sewer, S&S is planning to go live with enQuesta WebConnect
a few months later, enabling the USWD’s customer base roundthe-
clock access to account information and bill paying. "I'm excited
about what I see with S&S,” concluded Shutts, "and
am looking forward to taking our billing operations and account
reportage to a whole new level.” Burt Willey, President and
CEO, S&S, echoed her enthusiasm. "We're thrilled to be
on board with Martin County," he said. "I believe our
work with them shows enQuesta's ability to adapt to the requirements
of smaller utilities. And, it allows them to enjoy some of the same
business advantages as many of the largest utilities in the country.”
