Harris Announces Hillsdale
Board of Public Utilities Live on NorthStar v6.0
OTTAWA, ONTARIO, May 3, 2005 - Harris Computer Systems (Harris),
a leading provider in Customer Information Systems (CIS), billing,
and financial management solutions for municipal utilities and local
governments, today announced that Hillsdale Board of Public Utilities
(“Hillsdale BPU”) of Hillsdale, Michigan has successfully
implemented NorthStar v6.0.
After a comprehensive and detailed testing process, Hillsdale BPU
is now live on NorthStar v6.0. “Throughout the implementation
process we recognized the benefits of NorthStar v6.0,” said

NorthStar v6.0 is the next generation of the Harris mid-market
CIS offering, incorporating a state-of-the-art user interface, an
n-tier architecture, and multi-platform support. NorthStar v6.0
inherits the enterprise class infrastructure of a Java 2 Enterprise
Edition application, providing scalability and reliability for mid-sized
utilities.
