FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Talgentra Announces Microsoft
Partnership Certification with Gentrack
March 11, 2005 - Talgentra today announced it
has earned certified status in Microsoft Corp.’s Partner Program.
This certification recognises Talgentra’s expertise in the
utility billing and customer information system market with its
Gentrack software, which passed Microsoft’s Windows client,
server and SQL Server database test regimes with flying colours.
As a Certified Partner, Talgentra has demonstrated expertise with
Microsoft technologies and reiterated its proven ability to understand
and meet customer needs.
With a continuous focus on integrating the best technologies with
Gentrack, Talgentra provides a full end to end solution for utility
companies enabling them to grow and adapt as their markets evolve.
Low cost of ownership has also been a design consideration and
Gentrack can produce in excess of 50,000 bills per hour using an
“off the shelf” PC, offering low operational and customer
service costs.
Gentrack has a 15 year pedigree operating in regulated and de-regulated
markets and is used by both private and government owned utilities
ranging in size from a few dozen to millions of consumers. Recent
sales of Gentrack include the innovative entrant into Victoria’s
retail electricity market, Red Energy and New Zealand’s largest
network company Vector Networks.
"Only companies that have demonstrated high levels of customer
service, proved their experience and attained advanced certification
receive the designation of Microsoft Certified Partner," said
Allison Watson, vice president of the Worldwide Partner Sales and
Marketing Group at Microsoft. Microsoft Certified Partners receive
a rich set of benefits including access, training, and support,
that gives them a competitive advantage in the marketplace.
"We are extremely pleased to have earned certified status
in the Microsoft Partner Program. The certified status allows us
to clearly promote our expertise and leverage our relationship with
Microsoft to our customers’ advantage." said James Docking
General Manager for Gentrack. "The benefits provided through
our certified membership will allow us to continue to enhance the
price performance that Gentrack provides for our customers, allowing
them to substantially reduce their costs of service."
The Microsoft Partner Program was launched in December 2003 and
represents Microsoft’s ongoing commitment to the success of
partners worldwide. The Microsoft Partner Program offers a single,
integrated partnering framework that recognizes partner expertise,
rewards the total impact that partners have in the technology marketplace,
and delivers more value to help partners’ businesses be successful.
