City of Healdsburg Chooses Enterprise Software from Innoprise Software, Inc.™

ORLANDO, FL and BEND, OR – February 22, 2005 - The city of Healdsburg, California, has contracted with Innoprise Software, Inc. for purchase and deployment of new Customer Information System (CIS) and Community Development software. Healdsburg is nestled in the heart of the wine country and supplies electrical, water and sewer services to more than 5,000 customers.

Both systems are slated to go live in the second quarter 2005. The city plans to replace its legacy CIS system with the new Innoprise CIS software, while also deploying Community Development software for the first time to automate the creation, issuance and tracking of community development activities. The Community Development software encompasses built-in workflow automation features to track each step of the city's land management processes, from planning to zoning, permitting, land development, building plan review, building inspections, licensing and code enforcement.

"Our legacy CIS software was implemented 18 years ago, and we have basically outgrown it," says Carol Strouse, the city’s CIS project manager. Like other municipalities, Healdsburg's business requirements have changed in the past few years. "Our reporting needs have grown due to new utility regulations. Creating reports with our legacy CIS software was cumbersome and most times required IT-level experience," says Strouse.

"Often the information we need isn't stored - or can't be stored - in this system because we have reached its limitations,” explains Strouse, noting that over the years the city has had to implement many manual processes and work arounds to accommodate the shortcoming of the legacy CIS. Strouse adds, "We have lost several thousands of dollars a year in revenue because of the system's limitations in tracking and billing for some types of utility system usage."
