Cambridge Water UK Accepts Prophecy’s
basis2 in Record Time
February 04, 2005 - After only 6 months of implementation
and acceptance testing, Cambridge Water has formally accepted Prophecy’s
basis2 as its future billing and customer information system.
The rapid acceptance was due to the hard work of the basis2 team,
Cambridge Water and Prophecy’s business partner in the UK,
Imass. This project is a fine example of a successful IT implementation
project and showcases what can be achieved with good product, communication,
processes and solid partnerships. It’s especially noteworthy
because typical times for software acceptance for mission-critical
systems in the utility industry can be 12-18 months and often much
longer.
Congratulations to all involved, particularly Cambridge Water,
as they have embraced the challenges of deregulation and decided
to install basis2 - a modern, adaptable customer information system
that will quickly and easily put useful information into the hands
of decision-makers and allow flexible and responsive customer service.
