Signs enQuesta Upgrade Contract with City of Milwaukee
COLCHESTER, VT, November 1, 2004 – Systems
& Software (S&S), a leading Customer Information Systems
(CIS) provider for the utility industry, today announced their newest
enQuesta contract with Milwaukee Water Works (MWW), a self-financing
business enterprise of the City of Milwaukee that provides drinking
water to the city and surrounding (14) suburbs.
MWW will upgrade to enQuesta, which includes multi-service billing,
payment processing, credit and collections, meter management, and
automated service orders; and Cognos, which produces portal-based
ad-hoc reports, to improve technology. They will go-live second
quarter, 2005.
"enQuesta will increase productivity through the use of role
based, configurable front-end screens, product enhancements, and
additional interfaces including customer Web access," comments
Nick Karabon, MWW Project Manager.
MWW issued a request for proposal in 2003 because of the desire
it had to upgrade technology to meet current requirements and move
to an Oracle database. enQuesta fit well with MWW’s business
requirements and practices, because the software provides the ability
to transfer delinquencies to the City’s property taxes and
the ability to maintain a premise-based system with much of the
functionality of a customer-based system. The solution was also
very reasonably priced compared to other vendors.
“We have been a customer of S&S for the past ten years,
and we are excited about strengthening our relationship as we move
to the next generation of billing system products,” adds Karabon.
