October 7, 2004 - LOGIS (Local Government Information Systems Association) has selected Advanced Utility Systems to provide a utility billing solution for 18 of its member cities. Advanced will implement and configure CIS Infinity to meet each city’s business needs.

Collectively, the cities serve a customer base of 663,000 and deliver over 1,000,000 bills annually.

LOGIS is a not-for-profit consortium of Minnesota government entities in the Minneapolis - St. Paul area. It provides management information systems, support and related services to its members, essentially acting as their information technology department.

"Each of our member cities has different needs," explains Mike Garris, LOGIS Executive Director. "So we need a CIS solution that’s configurable without expensive customization. It has to integrate smoothly with our larger enterprise, with an easy-to-learn interface for users. We conducted a careful selection process, and Advanced came out with the best solution."

The Web interface in the upcoming Version 3 of CIS Infinity not only provides the expected performance benefits, but it also allows each LOGIS user to arrange the interface to suit individual needs, and bring high-priority information to the forefront. “This will be especially valuable in a diverse, distributed environment like ours, where we can’t always anticipate how users prioritize information” says Mr. Garris.
