COLCHESTER, VT., September 28, 2004 – Systems & Software, (S&S) a leading Customer Information Systems (CIS) provider for the utility industry, is pleased to announce its newest partner - South Coast Water District (District) – will go-live with S&S’ enQuesta and enQuesta Connect (Web) solution in the 1st Quarter, 2005.

Serving approximately 14,000 water and/or sewer customers, the District’s current system was developed and supported by limited personnel. They were in search of a system that automated many of their manual processes (like backflow management), and so they chose to adopt a 'fast track' approach to replacing their legacy Customer Information System. In the course of a year, Bryon Black, IT Director, South Coast Water District, established the new CIS requirements, put together a request for proposal, signed a contract, and will now go-live with enQuesta.

"We wanted to offer our customers self-service options such as the ability to make payments via the web, and will be able to do so with enQuesta," said Black. "We are very excited that we will now have an integrated solution that is maintainable, secure, scalable and robust. We selected S&S based on their reputation in the industry and their proven success rate," he continued.

South Coast Water District will deploy enQuesta on the Linux operating system, which is an economically feasible alternative to the traditional high cost operating systems.
