Scottish Water Complete Their Implementation
of HiAffinity
LONDON, ENGLAND; May 24,2004 - DST International
Billing (DSTi Billing) – the leading provider of innovative
customer management and open billing solutions to the utility industry
– announce today, that Scottish Water have completed their
migration to the HiAffinity Customer Care and Billing System.
The first two parts of Scottish Water were migrated from Custima
to HiAffinity late in 2003 and earlier this year and the third area,
based in Glasgow, previously serviced by another software vendor,
has now completed the move to HiAffinity. This means that approximately
180,000 commercial and industrial metered customer accounts worth
approximately £375m ($650 million) of revenue a year to Scottish
Water are now on one database, with uniform business processes and
tariffs for the whole country.
Scottish Water are making early use of the Business Rules Engine
in HiAffinity which allows them to easily configure their own unique
business processes to the HiAffinity system, define their own screen
formats, defaults and validations. They are also using HiAffinity
for their Trade Effluent billing and for much of their sundry billing
needs.
