City of Summerside, PE Goes Live
with Cogsdale CSM
CHARLOTTETOWN, PE, CANADA, May 12, 2004 –
Cogsdale Corporation is pleased to announce that the City of Summerside
has been live with their new utility billing/customer information
and financial management system since January, 2004. Cogsdale was
chosen to provide a fully integrated system for the City based on
Microsoft Business Solutions – Great Plains and Cogsdale Customer
Service Management.
The City of Summerside provides almost all services to the residents
of Summerside and surrounding areas, including electric, water,
sewer, permits, and miscellaneous billings. “After evaluating
our alternatives, the City of Summerside chose to implement a new
system based on Cogsdale CSM. We started the implementation in September
2003 and were live on the system in January 2004. We were pleased
with the performance of the software and the Cogsdale implementation,
which was delivered on time and under budget,” says Malcolm
Millar, Director of Financial Services.
As a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner, Cogsdale uses Windows servers
and the SQL Server 2000 Database Management System to ensure utmost
reliability, security and compatibility. The Windows-based system
results in enhanced ease of use and navigation to users of the system
for the City of Summerside.
