County of Dona-Ana, New Mexico Selects AMX Utiligy to provide CIS and Customer Care Solution for Water and Sewer Customers
Unique Nature of the County's Business Required a Flexible Architecture to Meet the Billing Methods and Special Requirements of Six Different Water Companies

IDAHO FALLS, ID -- (MARKET WIRE), February 24, 2004 - AMX International, a leader in providing complete enterprise software solutions for local governments and utilities, announced today that the County of Doña-Ana has selected AMX Utiligy™ as its customer information system (CIS), utility billing and customer care solution. The project's selection process was overseen by TMG Consulting, a leading CIS software selection consultant, and will replace the county's existing utility billing process and features integration to their current financial system.

The project will enable AMX to complete the data conversion process, and set up and configure the county's new system from their development and competency center in Salt Lake City, Utah. The project team and user community will also receive comprehensive training and technical knowledge transfer in Salt Lake City prior to the county taking delivery of the new system. The entire implementation process is expected to take 60 to 90 days.

Located in Las Cruces, New Mexico, the county provides both water and sewer services to its customers. The unique nature of the county's business required a flexible architecture to meet the billing methods and special requirements of six different water companies.

"The county required a solution that could be implemented quickly for an immediate and measurable return on our investment," said Sue Padilla, Interim Utilities Administrator, County of Doña-Ana. "We were looking for an out-of-the-box system that was flexible enough to fit our unique billing and customer care requirements.
