VasMark Group is a strategic consulting and marketing communications firm specializing in working with suppliers and buyers of trading and risk management systems and other energy technologies founded by Dr. Gary M. Vasey.

As a part of the acquisition, Dr. Vasey will join UtiliPoint International as Vice President of the newly created Trading & Risk Management Practice area while continuing to manage the ongoing activities of VasMark Group. UtiliPoint’s Trading & Risk Management Practice will initially focus on business processes at utilities and power marketing firms that require the assistance of software to perform mission critical trading and risk management functions within the organization. UtiliPoint employs a "market thought-leader" concept of advice that drives each practice and is emblematic of the company’s mission—to provide timely, immediately actionable, and value yielding information and advice to clients and the marketplace.
