VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA - May 28, 2003 - Cayenta, Inc. is pleased to announce the award of a contract with the City of Maryville, Tennessee. The contract encompasses all software, implementation services and support for Cayenta Utilities, including the provision of functionality unique to the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA).

Maryville's Department of Utilities will implement Cayenta Utilities to provide electric, sewer, water, and storm water billing and customer service to the city's residents. "After surveying the market, and the products available, Cayenta Utilities was head and shoulders above the other products. It was the obvious solution to our needs as a provider of municipal utility services," stated John Tate, the Director of Finance for Maryville. "The additional revenues we will recognize from implementing Cayenta Utilities will pay for the acquisition cost of the new software." Cayenta's implementation team will work closely with Maryville's staff to implement Cayenta Utilities by early 2004.

Cayenta Utilities is a customer relationship-based CIS system designed specifically to support all municipality utility services, including but not limited to water, waste water, sewer, storm water, electric, gas, solid waste, and miscellaneous services. Cayenta Utilities is part of a full suite of municipality and utility solutions that includes complete financial and asset lifecycle management systems.
