Utility Solutions Unveils InSight
CIS Software at 2003 CIS Conference
BEND, OR., May 12, 2003 - Utility Solutions, Inc.
will introduce InSight CIS at the 2003 CIS Conference on June 1st
and 2nd in Nashville, Tennessee. InSight CIS is an innovative customer
care and billing solution that empowers utilities to excel. The
system provides strategic advantage by increasing workforce efficiency,
enabling regulated and non-regulated product diversification, and
adapting to dynamic changes in the marketplace.

the flexibility to address both metered and non-metered products

InSight CIS is a completely browser based solution that conforms
to J2EE standards allowing for platform and database independence.
The system leverages the Versata Transaction Logic Engine to enforce
business rules, a Web Application Server, and Macromedia Flash for
the user presentation. These tools allow for rapid application development
and a user interface that promotes easy adoption of InSight CIS.
This translates into lower cost of implementation, decreased training
time, and faster return on investment. Integration with external
applications has been streamlined through a combination of pre-defined
exit points, open API’s, and an XML based interface engine
that maintains the integrity of the business requirements.

it provides a flexible framework that is solid, adaptable, and continually
being enhanced,” says Tim Fischer, lead architect of InSight.
