Direct Energy CIO Commends Peace Software's
Energy™ Development Center in New Zealand
MIAMI, FL., March 3, 2003 – Mr. Bernie Gillies, senior vice
president and chief information officer of Canadian-based Direct Energy,
recently visited Peace Software’s Energy Development Centre
in Auckland, New Zealand. The purpose of his visit was to observe
Peace Software’s large-scale development operations and meet with
key research and development representatives.
Peace Software’s 300-person development center is focused solely
on building enhancements and new components for its Energy
customer information system (CIS). Direct Energy, the largest competitive
energy retailer in North America, uses Energy for billing
and customer care of its electricity customers in Texas and Ontario.
As part of his visit, Mr. Gillies presented to Peace Software
employees and thanked them for their dedication, competence, professionalism
and team approach.
