FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Dick Armey and Stansfield Turner to Speak at the 2003 Innovative Government Forum

SACRAMENTO, CA., November 25, 2002 - Hansen Information Technologies, the leading provider of government operations solutions, today announced that Dick Armey, former House of Representatives speaker, and Stansfield Turner, former director of the CIA, will speak at the 2003 Innovative Government Forum to be held August 10 - 12, 2003 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Both speakers are scheduled to present August 12, 2003.

The Innovative Government Forum (IGF) is expected to attract hundreds of federal, state and local government officials, including mayors, council members, CIOs, directors of information technology, and departmental and administrative managers from around the world. IGF highlights the use of critical technologies that help manage day-to-day government operations.  This year's conference focuses on key aspects of performance management and critical infrastructure assurance.

"I believe we are going to see a big push within federal and local governments to share information that is critical to protecting our country," said Chuck Hansen, Hansen Information Technologies' Chairman and CEO. "Because of Dr. Armey's experience heading the Select Committee on Homeland Security, and Admiral Turner's experience as director of the CIA, they both will be able to address the challenges federal and local governments face. These include defining common business practices and integrating enterprise systems to create the information infrastructure necessary to make informed, educated decisions."

Dr. Armey was the primary author for the Republican Party's "Contract with America"; a collection of ten bills that were brought up for a vote during the first 100 days of a Republican-controlled Congress. He also served as the Chair of the Select Committee on Homeland Security, which was responsible for HR 5005, the Homeland Security Bill. Most recently, Dr. Armey was the Majority Speaker of the House of Representatives and is the author three books: Price Theory: A Policy-Welfare Approach (1977), The Freedom Revolution (1995) and The Flat Tax (1995).

As former director of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), retired Admiral Stansfield Turner will share his unique perspective on issues agencies might face regarding national and homeland security, modern warfare, terrorism and information gathering. In addition to teaching at Yale, Turner is author of four books, Secrecy and Democracy; Terrorism and Democracy; Caging the Nuclear Genie- An American Challenge for Global Security; and Caging the Genies: A Workable Solution for Chemical, Biological and Nuclear Weapons.
