City of Reading Taps Hansen Again to
Unify Multiple Billing Processes
SACRAMENTO, CA., November 14, 2002 - Hansen Information
Technologies, the leading provider of the Frictionless Framework
for government operations, today announced that the City of Reading,
Pennsylvania chose Hansen's CIS Solution to combine its billing
for water, recycling, trash, and sewer services. The selection was
made based on the solution's capacity to work smoothly with the
City's existing financial system and its flexibility to grow with
the City's needs.
Currently, the City of Reading uses an outside vendor to process
its water billing. Hansen's CIS Solution will enable the City to
bring its water billing in-house and to have one integrated solution
that merges its trash, recycling and sewer services onto one bill.
The City is also going to achieve productivity gains by moving to
an enterprise-wide platform designed to integrate day-to-day activities
and transactions
