SACRAMENTO, CA., November 21, 2002 - Hansen Information Technologies, the leading provider of Frictionless Framework for government operations, today announced that the City of Carlsbad will use its Transportation Solution and Customer Service Module to provide a link between the City's customers and assets by centralizing all its streets and storm water data. The City is also acquiring Hansen's Integrated Map Viewer, which integrates the City's GIS mapping system with Hansen's Asset module to better manage operations.

The City of Carlsbad intends to use Hansen's solutions and products to create an integrated work order system for the Public Works Division and to establish and maintain a single database of City infrastructure assets. The City also plans to utilize the historical data collected within Hansen to chart maintenance trends, proactively develop maintenance schedules and to more efficiently measure performance, all of which will lead to improved management of City assets.
