ORCOM and Soluziona to Co-develop Next
Generation Customer Information System for Utilities in North America
Agreement unites utility
industry powerhouses to develop advanced technology
PHILIDELPHIA, PA., October 14, 2002 - ORCOM, the leading
provider of outsourced customer care and billing services for electric,
gas and water utilities in North America, and Soluziona, a global
provider of Customer Information System (CIS) software to utility
companies around the world, today announced they will co-develop
a next-generation CIS solution for North American utilities. The
joint effort will leverage the combination of Soluziona’s vast expertise
in delivering world-class CIS software to 44 utilities around the
world serving more than 66 million end-use consumers, and ORCOM’s
broad North American client base and 26 years of business process
management expertise. Both companies will maintain development resources
in Philadelphia. Soluziona will be using its North American arm,
Soluziona USA, to manage development operations.

30 North American clients, we have developed the blueprint for a
next generation CIS based on current and future customer care and

the needs of any utility in the US or Canada.”

ORCOM will offer this software in a hosted model alongside its
proven E-CIS software. There will be new version releases of E-CIS
that will continue to provide highly reliable and cost effective
customer care and billing capabilities for new and existing clients.
