FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
City of Wooster, Ohio: From White Board to Enterprise-wide

SACRAMENTO, CA, October 3, 2002 - Hansen Information Technologies today announced that the City of Wooster, Ohio selected the company's total enterprise solution to help manage the City's operations. Wooster-with a population of 24,191-is migrating from a number of disparate systems, ranging from an in-house developed utility billing program to a white board in the City's garage to a solution that unifies the City's permitting, planning/zoning, fleet management and utility billing systems. Although the City initially believed its needs were minimal, it soon learned there was a higher level of functionality and efficiency available.

"We were originally looking for a fleet management package, but Hansen came out and demonstrated the range of things they can do, and we said, 'oh... we need that, and we need that too,'" said Linda C. Stokes, Information Technology Manager for the City of Wooster. "It mushroomed from there and grew into a complete enterprise-wide solution.

"One of the things I was interested in bringing to the City of Wooster was software that was well put together and high quality, as opposed to just the cheapest, quickest-to-install package," added Stokes. "My first impression of Hansen was that it was a well put together, well-constructed suite of software."

By realizing the benefits of Hansen's integrated framework, Wooster is able to receive immediate operational efficiencies, and increased citizen involvement and satisfaction. The City also has the foundation in place to meet the demands of integrating new technologies and functions, as well as an increasing population.
