FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Hansen Information Technologies Announces
New Location of 2003 E-Government Conference
SACRAMENTO, CA, October 1, 2002 - Hansen Information
Technologies today announced the selection of Las Vegas, Nevada
as the site for the 2003 Innovative Government Forum (IGF) and 17th
Annual International Information Conference (AIIC). The conferences
will take place August 10-14, 2003 at the Rio All-Suite Hotel &
Casino.
The annual conferences attract over 1000 leading industry analysts,
business leaders, and state, local and federal government officials
from around the world. AIIC and IGF are designed to inform government
agencies about new technologies and trends that will impact their
own IT planning strategies and operation efficiencies. The AIIC
(Hansen's User-Group) also provides an opportunity for Hansen users
to hear the company's development plans, implementation strategies,
and market outlook. The 2002 IGF featured keynote and panel sessions
from the Honorable Al Gore; General Barry McCaffrey (USA-Retired);
Richard Marshall, Principal Deputy Director of Critical Infrastructure
Assurance Office (CIAO); Pete Hayes, Vice President of Microsoft
Government and representatives from the FBI, United States Air Force
and first responders. The use of information technology to help
protect local and state critical-infrastructure assets in compliance
with President Bush's Department of Homeland Security was a key
topic at the 2002 Forum.
"AIIC and IGF showcase the best in state, local and federal
government technology and will feature jurisdictions that have successfully
solved real-world problems with innovative technology solutions,"
said Chuck Hansen, President and CEO of Hansen Information Technologies.
"Selecting Las Vegas as the 2003 conference site will provide
an excellent opportunity for Hansen's users to witness first-hand
how several top Hansen clients, including the City of Las Vegas,
North Las Vegas and Las Vegas Valley Water have benefited from using
our permitting applications as part of the Hansen Enterprise system."
"Attendees will enjoy coming to Las Vegas. We're a
high tech community and one of the most 'connected' cities in the
nation. We're also one of the top destinations in the world.
It's a great combination," said Joseph Marcella, director of
Information Technologies for the City of Las Vegas.
Several major industry-wide announcements will be revealed at
the 2003 conferences. Other highlights will include the highly requested
"Monte Carlo" welcome reception and fabulous entertainment.
