Conversant, Inc. and Rekadom,
Inc. Create Strategic Partnership to Deliver “Next Generation” CIS
Solutions to Utilities
DALLAS, TX/WATERVILLE, ME, September 19, 2002 - Rekadom,
Inc. and Conversant, Inc. have announced the signing of an agreement
that teams the two companies in a strategic alliance to serve utilities
and energy service providers as they select and implement new Customer
Information Systems.
Conversant, which launched the commercial version of its Customer
Watch® software in June 2002, has received widespread attention
from information technology experts, analysts and customer service
professionals within the utility and energy services industries
for their innovative creation of a 100% Java-based CIS solution.
Rekadom, a consulting company with customers in the U.S., Canada,
and the Caribbean specializes in assisting customers in the utility
industry with the implementation of “off the shelf” software.
According to John Beichman, President & CEO of Rekadom, Customer
Watch is the latest product to be added to the company’s list of
supported CIS applications.
“Customer Watch is a product that takes CIS flexibility to a new
level. It’s an object-oriented, n-tiered client service architecture
that is powerful, adaptable and technically a pleasure to work with.
Because it was built specifically by utility IT professionals with
the future in mind, it reflects our philosophy that business needs
should drive software solutions,” he said.
Stan Royal, CEO of Conversant, says the relationship with Rekadom,
is one that will be mutually beneficial to both companies and to
their customers. Conversant and Rekadom have already teamed on two
major municipal bids, and Royal anticipates several other cooperative
agreements as utilities continue to replace their aging legacy systems
and limited CIS applications with state-of-the-art technologies.
The strategic alliance between Rekadom and Conversant will be
formally introduced at the upcoming Energy IT Expo, scheduled for
Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas, November 6 –8, 2002
