FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
New Release of SCT Banner CMS Offers
Toronto Greater Customer Choice
Toronto Hydro SCT Partnership sealed
with robust, flexible application
COLUMBIA, SC, September 6, 2002 - SCT (Nasdaq: SCTC),
a leading global provider of e-business solutions and services,
announced announced today that Toronto Hydro Corporation has gone
live on SCT Banner CMS. This migration marks greater flexibility
for its 650,000 hydroelectric customers. Because Toronto Hydro needed
to successfully enter the deregulated market, increased functionality
such as the itemization of account details, will allow them to better
understand significant account trends to better service their customer
base. Of key importance as well is that with this migration, Toronto
Hydro is able to comply with the extensive regulatory requirements
surrounding the opening of Ontario's deregulated hydroelectric market,
which commenced May 1, 2002.
With SCT Banner CMS, a customer management solution designed to
run in either a regulated or deregulated market, Toronto Hydro is
able to offer broad levels of service to its customers, including
detailed usage and cost information as well as history for their
customers' billing components.
"We're now able to unbundle the various elements of our services,
which allows us to more effectively sell hydroelectricity in this
competitive market. Through Banner, we now have the ability to show
greater detail on our invoices. This means that our customers can
make more informed decisions about buying and selling power,"
said Susan Davidson, Vice President of Customer Care at Toronto
Hydro-Electric System Limited. "SCT Banner CMS is a solution
designed with a solid, efficient platform with the capacity to meet
the mandated requirements of the new Ontario retail market."
"SCT is meeting the unique needs
of the Ontario market through the flexibility of the Banner CMS
solution as well as providing industry expertise through our professional
services team," said John Gregg, president of SCT global energy
and utilities solutions. "By migrating to a more current version
of Banner, Toronto Hydro will have access to a more robust solution
in preparation for future demands of their market space.
