Gentrack’s Scalability on Oracle
Proven After Successful Benchmark to 3 Million Consumers
DAYTON, OH, July 3, 2002 - The Gentrack™ Billing
and CIS software suite, running on the Oracle 9i Database, has successfully
scaled to 3 million consumers in a recent benchmark certified by
PricewaterhouseCoopers. Using an off the shelf Fujitsu Primepower
800 Unix platform with a hardware cost of around 8 US cents per
consumer, Gentrack’s scalability and processing performance results
were excellent with an average of 41,000 bills per hour for overnight
processing. Gentrack also processed over 33,000 bills per hour while
simultaneously supporting a simulated significant call centre load
showing sub second user response times.

to handle complex transactions for clients with more than 3 million
consumers on both Oracle and IBM database technologies. Moreover,
these results were achieved using cost competitive non-optimised
servers in an environment typical to a call centre, validating the
scalability and performance of our database independent architecture'.
