A Sucessful Conversion to Gentrack
for Genisis Energy
Genesis Energy are now
handling all their 550,000 contestable electricity and gas customers
from one Gentrack integrated CIS
DAYTON OH., June19 2002 - Genesis Energy has successfully
transitioned the last of its newly acquired electricity and gas
customers in New Zealand onto it’s retail base making it now one
of the largest retailers in this fully deregulated energy market.
The conversion of 220,000 consumers from On energy’s SAP billing
system to Genesis Energy’s Gentrack brings the total electricity
and gas customers billed by Genesis on Gentrack to 550,000.

the SAP to Gentrack conversion marked the 37th data conversion from
legacy billings systems in the last 3 years. The restructuring
of the New Zealand electricity market saw Gentrack being selected
by four of the five major retailers in the country. Such experience
ensured that the team had the experience and methodologies to plan
and effectively execute the Genesis conversion project, on-time
and in-budget.

SITEL, the outsource provider Genesis selected to build and operate
its contact center and billing system. ‘I was particularly
impressed with the planning and contingencies that the team put
in place to significantly reduce the risk to SITEL and Genesis’
existing operations’.
This latest conversion marks the third and final milestone in Genesis/SITEL’s
three-phase implementation and migration project to consolidate
all Genesis’ mass market , commercial and industrial customers onto
the integrated Gentrack platform.
