ENLOGIX first to provide Lodestar
Software as Outsources Solution
World’s largest energy
industry outsourcer of CIS solutions to now offer complex billing,
load profiling and settlement functionality.
ATLANTA, GA., April 25, 2002 - Enlogix Inc., the world’s
largest outsourcer for energy industry customer information systems
(CIS), and LODESTAR, the world’s leading provider of software solutions
for energy companies, have announced a partnership that will see
LODESTAR BillingExpert and LODESTAR Profile & Settlement System
available through Enlogix on an outsourced basis.
“LODESTAR’s robust complex billing and settlement software will
significantly extend the capabilities of Enlogix’ CIS offering,”
said Phillip Duncan, Director of Solution Strategy, Enlogix. “We
now have an immediate solution for our deregulated clients who need
profiling settlement and complex billing support, as well as for
the larger regulated utilities who require complex billing.”
The new partnership will enable Enlogix to continue to support a
growing customer base, which numbers 14 utilities and energy service
providers serving more than three million consumers, in deregulated
markets as well as regulated markets. The agreement is part of Enlogix'
ongoing commitment to evaluate software solutions for its customers
and deliver effective and proven outsourced solutions.

As a result of the new partnership, Enlogix will now be able to:
- Manage customer interval data and pricing;
- Provide accurate and automated bill calculation using checklists
that report present and missing data;
- Present trading partners information to meet the new billing
requirements in the energy marketplace;
- Manage multiple profile methods;
- Process estimated actual loads;
- Compare them to the nominated loads;
- Calculate energy imbalances;
- Compute a cost based on settlement pricing; and
- Give retail providers trying to match the energy demands of
their customers with the forecasted load the ability to validate,
edit and estimate load data.
