Lumenor Deploys Complex Billing Solution
in Less Than 90 Days
Utility Choice Electric completes
User Acceptance Testing of Radiant Billing and Customer Care with
a focus on large commercial and industrial customer billing
ATLANTA, GA., April 15, 2002– Lumenor,
Inc., a provider of billing and customer care solutions for utilities
and energy service companies, continues to prove its ability to
deliver CIS solutions quickly and affordably. Utility Choice Electric,
based in Houston, has completed user acceptance testing of Lumenor’s
Radiant Billing and Customer Care Solution, with an emphasis on
the complex billing needs of large commercial and industrial customers.
Utility Choice Electric is a Texas-based company providing lower
cost electric power and related services to residential, commercial
and industrial customers.

enable us to bill for contract and index rates, as well as other
complex billing scenarios, that meet the demands and expectations

Lumenor met a 90-day deployment schedule of its Radiant Billing
and Customer Care solution, with an emphasis on complex billing
for large commercial and industrial customers. The solution also
includes the Texas market Electronic Business Transaction Set, which
facilitates data exchange with the Electric Reliability Council
of Texas (ERCOT).
“It is significant to note that the Lumenor delivery team has accomplished
in 90 days what other vendors have not been able to do in months,
or even years,” says Mark Edwards, Lumenor’s executive vice president
of research and development. “Our Radiant application suite is performing
expert billing functions such as multi-tiered pricing, contract
pricing, and multi-site billing for large customers in various service
territories across the Texas marketplace. Furthermore, we are processing
a full range of transactions from the Texas transaction set.”
The billing and customer care solution for Utility Choice Electric
was delivered through Lumenor’s application service provider (ASP)
model. Lumenor has full developmental and deployment control of
the Radiant application, which is installed at the Lumenor data
center in Atlanta. This removes significant implementation obstacles
encountered when deploying third party software in a hosted environment.
Lumenor also offers its Radiant application under a license model.
