MIAMI, FL., June 11, 2001 –Peace Software, a leading provider of advanced customer management solutions for utilities and retail energy companies, today announced Mark Wasiele has been appointed vice president of Strategic Alliances and Indirect Channels. Wasiele will direct the company’s strategic alliance program, developing and growing partner relationships that extend Peace’s reach and service capabilities in new and existing markets.

Wasiele’s mandate is two-fold: He will establish and strengthen existing partner relationships that create real value for Peace Software clients, as well as execute a broad partner certification and training program involving key system integrators, complementary software providers and technology partners for wide-spread distribution and delivery of Peace’s Energy™ suite.

“I transferred from Silicon Valley’s high-tech world to the energy industry because I believe it has enormous growth potential, and I believe Peace is best positioned to meet the energy industry’s customer management needs,” said Wasiele. “My focus is on developing tightly integrated partner networks that accelerate the ubiquitous adoption of Energy as the customer management system of choice for utilities and energy retailers worldwide.”

Prior to joining Peace, Wasiele was vice president of Strategic Alliances at Extricity, Inc. (now Peregrine Systems) where he led strategic integration and software partnerships that generated significant revenue growth. Before that, he managed global systems integrator relationships at Oracle Corporation, and held a number of senior sales and marketing positions with successful established and start-up high-tech companies, including Citrix Systems, Novell and Prime Computer. Wasiele graduated with a B.S. in marketing and management from Babson College in Wellesley, MA.
