FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Excelergy Completes First European Implimentation Within 12 Weeks
Speed-to-Market, European Market Knowledge seen as Keys to Successful Implementation

LEXINGTON, MA. and UTRECHT, HOLLAND; May 10, 2001 - ANY-G, the affiliate of Holland's fourth-largest utility REMU, today announced that it has successfully become operational with the Excelergy Advanced Business Package just 12 weeks after licensing the software earlier this year.

"While we were selecting Excelergy's software, we heard countless horror stories from other energy companies who were promised a smooth, rapid implementation by other software providers, but whose results were bitterly disappointing," said Ronald Van Oijen, managing director of ANY-G. "Although we knew Excelergy had a superior track record of successful implementations, we were still impressed with the speed and market knowledge they demonstrated to get our system operational so quickly. And even with the rapid timetable, it didn't require any significant amount of resources either from ANY-G or Excelergy."

ANY-G obtained the multi-jurisdictional, multi-commodity Excelergy  Advanced Business Package to automate and manage critical business  processes such as billing and customer care. Excelergy's software - based  on the industry's first re-usable, object-based library - produce low-risk, high-efficiency systems that lower costs and accelerate business  growth. Built and developed exclusively for global restructuring markets, Excelergy's enables companies to enter new markets and grow their businesses in the face of rapidly changing business processes, rules and standards.

"We're pleased to add our first successful implementation in Europe to our  growing list of successful implementations in North America," said Bill  Mahoney, Excelergy's president and chief executive officer. "In addition to our speed and market knowledge, we earn these kinds of successes based on our world-class object technology and our unparalleled engineering  execution."

In 2001, Holland's market for "green energy" - energy generated in environmentally sound ways - is scheduled to open to competition between suppliers and utilities. By 2002, commercial and industrial energy users in Holland will be free to choose a new energy supplier, and by 2003 the same will apply to all energy customers, including small business and residential customers. The multi-year agreement with Excelergy enables ANY-G to address all of these target market segments.
