SPL WorldGroup Appoints New Global Sales Executive

MORRISTOWN, NJ., April 19, 2001 - SPL WorldGroup( B.V. (SPL), the leading provider of customer management solutions to the global energy industry, has appointed Mr. Michael K. Tabbert as the company's Senior Vice President of Global Sales. Reporting to SPL's President & CEO, CD Hobbs, Mr. Tabbert will be responsible for maintaining and building the company's global sales force as well as meeting corporate sales targets.

Mr. Tabbert will leverage an extensive background in the energy industry in his role at SPL including experience gained in end user, implementation, and software vendor roles. His track record in software sales and consulting includes senior sales and marketing executive roles with Severn Trent Systems, Deloitte & Touche and, more recently, Indus International. He also has direct industry experience with several energy companies including Southwest Gas Corp., Portland General Electric Company and Detroit Edison.  For the last 6 months, Mr. Tabbert has been consulting to the SPL management team on a variety of sales and marketing initiatives.
