FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Peace Software Teams with ExoLink
to Deliver Efficient B2B Solutions for Energy Retailing
MIAMI, FL., April 3, 2001 – Peace Software and ExoLink today
announced an alliance to jointly market Peace’s Energy suite and
ExoLink’s clearinghouse solution for efficient business-to-business
(B2B) information exchange in retail energy markets. Peace Software
is the leading provider of advanced customer management solutions
for utility and retail energy companies. ExoLink Corporation is
the premier U.S. provider of retail energy business process integration
(BPI) services.
Peace’s Energy suite provides integrated customer and commodity
management solutions for energy retailing. ExoLink’s online clearinghouse
solution manages the electronic exchange of customer- and commodity-related
information between energy retailers and their market partners.
Deployed together, Energy and ExoLink’s clearinghouse form an advanced
platform for energy retailers in regulated and deregulated environments
to efficiently manage customer information through automation of
complex data transactions in and out of multiple energy markets.
“Peace Software partners with leading providers such as ExoLink
to create real and measurable business performance improvements
for utility and retail energy companies,” said Denese Van Dyne,
Peace Software vice president of marketing. “Our partnership with
ExoLink enables us to offer our clients extended market and trading
partner process integration services, well beyond the stand-alone
translation software available on the market today for exchanging
transaction data with market participants.”
ExoLink analyzes clients’ business needs and works with interfaces
of existing applications to match market rules to client-specific
business processes. As a result, when market rules continue to evolve
and change, internal client processes and systems are not affected.
Don Etheredge, ExoLink’s president and founder, said, “Energy is
highly complementary to our BPI solution, scaling to sustain high
volumes of complex data for a wide range of energy related products
and services. Both systems are web-based, and therefore, are extremely
cost effective, quick to implement, and easy to configure to continuously
evolving market models.”
In an October 13, 2000 bulletin, META Group recommended that energy
companies consider outsourcing retail transaction exchange functions
during the industry’s evolution to a simpler, efficient, centralized
solution.
