Sempra Energy Solutions Picks Excelergy's
Energy Software to Handle Restructuring Energy Markets Worldwide
Excelergy's new complex billing component
helps it beat competing vendors to provide software to one of the
world's largest energy companies
LEXINGTON, MA., April 3, 2001 – Excelergy Corporation, provider
of the world's most advanced software products and technologies
for inter-company collaboration, has signed an agreement to provide
Sempra Energy SolutionsSM with its Excelergy eXACTTM for automating
collaboration and care between businesses and its Excelergy Advanced
Business PackageTM for managing complex internal business units,
such as complex billing and customer care. Sempra Energy Solutions,
a leading national provider of energy services outsourcing to commercial,
industrial and institutional energy markets, will use Excelergy's
software suite to expand quickly into newly restructuring energy
markets in the United States.

With Excelergy's software, Sempra Energy Solutions will expand the

will use Excelergy's software to make customer enrollment, service,
billing, retention and satisfaction more cost-efficient and accurate,
particularly across multiple jurisdictions and state lines.
Sempra Energy Solutions also noted that the sound technical integration
of Excelergy's object-based components will keep set-up and integration
time and costs to a minimum.
Excelergy's software suite now includes a complex billing component
to augment the Excelergy Advanced Business Package's core business
functionality as well as Excelergy eXACT's trading partner management
capability. It also includes Excelergy's forecasting and settlement
configuration, aimed at minimizing disruptions due to wholesale
price fluctuations and power shortages.
