Waters to Key Strategy Role

MORRISTOWN, NJ., March 16, 2001 - SPL WorldGroup B.V. (SPL),

energy industry, has appointed acknowledged energy industry and
customer relationship management expert, J. Guerry Waters, as Senior
Vice President Marketing & Strategy.
Mr. Waters, who joined SPL last November, is now responsible for
the company's global marketing programs, product strategy and product
management. In this role, Mr. Waters will help determine SPL's future
product lines and strategic alliances on a global basis.

Mr. Waters was previously Vice President, Energy Information Strategies
Service at META Group where he created the customer focused architecture
model that has become an energy industry standard for defining customer
relationship management components and, where he won multiple awards
and accolades for his research. "Being very familiar with the
customer management challenges faced by the industry and with most
of the potential solutions currently available, I am convinced that
a flexible and adaptable architecture is the central tenet of a

looking forward toleveraging and enhancing that," said Mr.
Waters.
